Chris and Danielle

Hello! We’re Chris and Danielle, a married couple approaching the beautiful age of retirement and ramping up our quest to travel the globe!

We met when we were teenagers. We always had the travel bug. Chris wanted to go to Africa. I wanted to travel Europe. We connected again while in London , England. Thirty years of marriage and 2 kids later and we’ve managed to put a lot of pins on our travel map.

Out of high school I graduated from a one year travel agent course. The travel perks were great but then I realized how much they truly got paid. So back to college to get a data processing diploma (yeah, that’s what they called computer science or programming back then). Well that eventually got me consulting all over the world where we got to bring our family along (and got paid a lot better!).

We’re fortunate that our children also inherited our love of seeing a world not their own. They have travelled with us and also on their own. We will bring their stories here to share as well.

There is so much beauty in this wonderful planet we live in. It’s not just the landscape, the fauna or the flora but the people that you meet along the way.

We can’t ignore the strife, the conflicts and the hate that still invades our daily lives. But maybe through travelling outside of our comfort zone, interacting with our fellow human beings from other countries, we can strive to understand the world that they live in, shout their beauty to the rest of the world and maybe even lend a helping hand along the way.

So why the blog? To share the beauty, to help others plan their own dream vacation and maybe even laugh along the way of our misadventures.

We hope that you enjoy our blogs and like us, carry on and travel.
